Sound On Sound reviews Rhythmic Robot!

Yowzer! We’re in the news!

Sound On Sound magazine has printed the first of a three-part review of Rhythmic Robot’s instruments, starting with our Beat Room collection. They give us a cracking 4 out of 5 stars, and we’re thrilled! They call the instruments “well balanced and natural sounding… at ‘app store’ prices, it’s hard not to be tempted to try one – or more than one.” Sound On Sound has always been our favourite read, and seeing our own stuff in there… we’re as happy as a kid with a flame-thrower.

Keep an eye open for the Keyboard Vault and Laboratory reviews, coming in the June and July issues.

Meanwhile work continues on the new Laboratory instrument. It’s going to be very exciting. It’s taking a while (and not just because of Mongo’s unfortunate accident with the pinch rollers – that’ll teach him to mistake 15ips for 7.5ips). We have something like 960 samples to hand-loop and organise. But we really think it’s going to be worth it. Ancient drum machines and some frankly freaky keyboards are stacking up in the lab in dangerously-wavering piles waiting to be plugged in and dealt with, but we want to get this one out to you first. More news the moment we have it!

Best wishes,

The Professor (and Mongo)
